HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE INTELLECTUAL WORLD
Fr. Edeh’s Contribution to the World of Learning
Cambridge Biographical Centre, England dedicated the 1st edition of their book, "Outstanding People of the 21st Century" to Fr. Edeh for his outstanding contributions to the Church, Education and Suffering. The book briefly described Fr. Edeh's contribution to the world of learning by referring to Fr. Edeh's book "Towards an Igbo Metaphysics" 1982, "as a milestone in the history of thought". For his work on Igbo Metaphysics Fr. Edeh has been named as "the father of African Philosophy" and "the first to articulate African Philosophy through articulating Igbo Metaphysics", as Aristotle and Co. were the first to articulate Western Philosophy by articulating Greek Philosophy. (c/f "Outstanding People of the 21st Century", 1st edition 2003), pages 4 to 5, 173 to 174.
In the same vein, the American Biographical Institute also nominated Fr. Edeh as a "Genius Elite", in the Third Edition of "Leading Intellectuals of the World" published in 2004. These academic recognitions speak eloquently of the intellectual acumen of the person.
